Ok, so I just bought this dress and these shoes. Do you think I can wear them together?
I think I can, but I'm also tempted to play it safe wearing a peep toe pump. Help!
(sorry they're crappy photos... yay for using Photobooth?)
Edit: the dress and belt have navy in them, not black. :)

Scrappy Wednesday 6-15-11
Since I started work, I definitely haven't been scrapping as much as I would like. But that's ok. Here are two pages I did a couple weeks ago. Still working on scrapping Australia!

Style File 6-11-11 AND 30 Day Challenge Photos
It's been getting hot around here, but I was running errands and knew I would be in freezing airconditioned buildings for most of the day. So I opted for this linen 3/4 sleeve shirt.
Normally I don't wear brown shoes if I'm wearing a black shirt, but for this one I think it works. Do you?
I bought this shirt off the clearance rack at Macy's for like five bucks, I think. I normally wouldn't think to buy a tunic like this, but with a belt I think it looks quite nice.
Shoes! I like these flats, they're quite comfy.
Better view of the shirt/belt combo. I like the embroidery on this shirt too. It kinda reminds me of Bollywood.
It's hot! I was getting the hair off my neck.
And 30 day challenge photos from Thursday and Friday:
June 9th: Spinach Salad!
June 10th: Running shoes. Got in five miles. Not the seven I wanted, but it'll have to do.

30 Day Challenge Photos
June 4th
Miss Louisianna. She's afraid of everything, including the camera. That's why she looks a little concerned in this photo.

This was the passage our church looked at today. Matthew 22:43-40. I like the book of Matthew, but this passage really spoke to me today. Read it and see what you think. :)

Just a random update
Hey All!
I am sitting at church waiting for band practice to be over and to start the service. We were going to have a beach service, but severe weather caused us to move it to the regular sanctuary. My original plan was to sit at starbucks while everyone was setting up for the service (Brad runs sound so he has to help with that) and put up my pictures of the day from yesterday and today, but I forgot my memory card in my camera... so all you get for now is a little update on my life! Yay, I guess?
So lately I've just been working at Regent in the school of Government. I really enjoy working there. The people are great and I'm settling into my job quite nicely. I'm deciding what I want to continue studying. I'm thinking perhaps the divinity program, but we'll see. I get free tuition there since I'm a full time employee, so I think I had better take advantage of that. Free master's degree? Yes please. But it would take me forever to get because I would only be able to take a class or two at a time. Too many decisions to make!
I also recently became a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. I put through my first order last week, and I'm really excited to continue it. For the month of June half of everything I make is going to go to Joey Cottle. He recently lost his wife and needs as much financial support as he can get, if only to help buy diapers for his six month old daughter. If you're interested in ordering some Mary Kay products and want to help him out, you can order from my personal website: www.marykay.com/liz.boyce. Let me know if you have any questions.
Brad and I had a busy month of May. We had some friends stay with us for the weekend, he ran sound at a show for the guys from church, and we went to Asheville NC for Bree's high school graduation. it was great, but I'm looking forward to having a couple weekends to just relax and not do much.
Look forward to my POTD (pictures of the day) later. Have a great sunday!

Style File 6-4-11 AND 30 Day Challenge Photos
I'm here and alive! May was an insane month for us. I feel like we never actually rested in May. But here's another style file for you.
Summer has arrived in Virginia Beach! For the last two weeks we've been hitting the mid to upper 90's on many of the days. Yesterday was fairly cool, it only got up to the 80's!
So with the weather heating up it's definitely time to bust out the cute skirts and tanks. So this is what I cam up with. I like it. It kept me cool, which is what I want when it warms up out!
I felt like being sassy. I am so into braids at the moment. My hair is finally long enough to get something cute out of braid. Before they just looked a little pathetic.
In the summer I tend to keep my accessories simple. When it gets hot I don't want to weigh myself down with lots of jewelry or whatever.
Showing off the skirt! :)
Outfit Rundown:
Skirt: Old Navy last season
Tank: Forever 21
Earrings: Kohls
Sandals: JC Penney
Also here is my 30 Day Challenge photo for June 3rd, 2011.
Shopping bags! I spend Fridays doing errands and such so we don't have to worry about that on the weekends. Works well for me!

30 Day Challenge Photos
Here are the pictures from yesterday and today!
June 1st, 2011:
My husband bought a bag of Hershey's Kisses and placed them around the house. Never know where I'll find a kiss! Also, I apparently need to dust. ;)
June 2nd, 2011
This is the view of the clubhouse from our apartment balcony. Today the lighting was beautiful and I love the reflection in the pond.

Thirty Day Challenge
Hey guys! Starting today I am going to be participating in a 30 day challenge. I am going to take a picture every day and make a mini-Scrapbook of all the pictures. I'm going to be concentrating on many of the mundane activities of my life, not because I want the project to be boring, but I really want to capture what my life is like. Some days I just don't do anything particularly interesting, but that's ok. I will be posting my pictures as I take them, so you can see them as I do them and then again in the scrapbook.
You should join me in doing a 30 day challenge. Pick something that you can do every single day of June. Do something manageable so you can commit to it and be successful. Here are a few ideas:
You should join me in doing a 30 day challenge. Pick something that you can do every single day of June. Do something manageable so you can commit to it and be successful. Here are a few ideas:
- Look up a piece of art every day and do a bit of research on it
- Read a Wikipedia article on something that interests you
- Read a chapter in a classic book
- Read your Bible
- Add a vegetable to your lunch
- Add two minutes to your workout
- Get up ten minutes earlier and do some yoga
- Do one random act of kindness every day
- Send a message to a friend you haven't talked to in a while
- make it a point to smile and say hello to at least one stranger
