5 things

I apologize for the hiatus here. I've been very sick the past couple of days with the Great Stomach Plague of 2012, but I am on the mend. Look forward to a new outfit post on Monday. Until then, I saw one of the bloggers I follow Violet Sage and I thought I would make a list too.

5 Things I Wish Someone Would Have Told Me When I Was 18

1.) It is ok to not now what you want to do even after you graduate college. Sometimes, you never know what the opportunities in life are going to give you. Roll with it and try to find something along the way that you think to yourself "Man, this is what I was made to do!" Sometimes that's using your degree, sometimes it's not. Either way, your college education was not wasted. Just tweaked to fit your dream.

2.) Make it a point to keep up with your friends. No matter how self sufficient you are or how much you think you have everything handled, you need someone you can Skype/call/get coffee with when you're having a rotten week.

3.) There is a big world out there. Go see it as much as you can.

4.) Let's go back to number 1 for a sec. Sometimes your dreams change, and that's ok. I think it's boring if we just go for one dream in our life time. Dream big, do what you're called to do, and eventually the details will work out.

5.) Your family is very important. Don't treat them like they're not.

Style File 3-5-12

Ok, so a couple people have asked me to do a feature on Men's Fashion. I do not claim to be an expert, but I have a couple tips for you in a post featuring my husband, Brad.

Tip 1: Fit is key. Do not be afraid to wear a shirt that fits. Pants should also fit. I like this shirt of Brad's because it fits him well. I also like the pattern of it; it's a break from a solid or stripe.
Tip 2: Don't be afraid of color, patterns, or textures. These all add interest to your wardrobe. And definitely do not be afraid of pinks, purples, or paisleys (even though I am still working on Brad to wear these things...)

Tip 3: Shoes do not always have to match everything perfectly, but you should never wear brown shoes with black pants, nor should you wear socks with sandals.
Tip 4: Chucks go with almost anything.
Tip 5: Wear what you like, no matter what that is!

Outfit Rundown:
 Shirt- Slimfit, Gap
Jeans- Levi's (no idea where he got them)
Shoes- Green Chucks (no idea where he got them)
