5 things

I apologize for the hiatus here. I've been very sick the past couple of days with the Great Stomach Plague of 2012, but I am on the mend. Look forward to a new outfit post on Monday. Until then, I saw one of the bloggers I follow Violet Sage and I thought I would make a list too.

5 Things I Wish Someone Would Have Told Me When I Was 18

1.) It is ok to not now what you want to do even after you graduate college. Sometimes, you never know what the opportunities in life are going to give you. Roll with it and try to find something along the way that you think to yourself "Man, this is what I was made to do!" Sometimes that's using your degree, sometimes it's not. Either way, your college education was not wasted. Just tweaked to fit your dream.

2.) Make it a point to keep up with your friends. No matter how self sufficient you are or how much you think you have everything handled, you need someone you can Skype/call/get coffee with when you're having a rotten week.

3.) There is a big world out there. Go see it as much as you can.

4.) Let's go back to number 1 for a sec. Sometimes your dreams change, and that's ok. I think it's boring if we just go for one dream in our life time. Dream big, do what you're called to do, and eventually the details will work out.

5.) Your family is very important. Don't treat them like they're not.

I like the last one. We all "hate" our families when we are first starting out and we should have realized they were there to help.
