Sneak Peek: The New Place

Well! After a whirl wind weekend, we moved to the new place! We picked up the keys on Friday night and brought over some small stuff in the cars. Saturday morning we woke up bright and early to bring stuff over and then loaded up the UHaul. With the help of some awesome friends, we were able to return the truck by 2pm and started unpacking. I was shocked at how fast the unpacking went; we were pretty much done on Sunday evening. Brad and I both took the day off yesterday to finish up some odds and ends (books in book cases, for example), work on homework, and recover. We were so tired and so sore. I think the next move we are hiring movers. It was brutal. I have many bruises! But we are here. I am so ready to start on some of the (many) projects we have to make this place ours.
Here's a sneak peek of our living room! I plan on doing a Vlog tour and posting it later this week. As you can see, the living room is mostly put together. Most spaces are put together, but need some help getting settled. Especially our bedroom... it's gigantic and we just don't have enough stuff! ha! Never thought I would say that!

So far, we love it here. It's a great location for a lot of things, so far its a lot quieter, and just in general a better place. We are down a workout center (bummer), but I did go run outside this morning. Thankfully we're at the point in summer when it's light out at 5:45am. But we will need to get Y memberships (which I am looking forward to.Yoga classes!). My run was great this morning. I have sort of felt like I'm on vacation since we moved..haha. My run this morning definitely felt like it. There's something about running in a new place that is just so energizing and different. I've only felt it on runs during vacation (like in Boston Garden, for example). Maybe only runners will understand that. Our new Master bedroom is gigantic with a huge vanity so it makes it feel like a hotel, which  adds to my feeling of vacation. I'm sure as things settle into normal it'll feel less like vacation. Or maybe not and my quality of life will simply improve! ha! One can hope.

Speaking of being on vacation... I am not actually on vacation and need to go to work. Off to the shower! Have a great Tuesday and be looking for a Vlog and a DIY project list coming soon.

It looks so home-y! I can't wait to see your vlog tour. :) Louisiana looks quite happy as well. :)

When we moved into our rental last spring, I felt like I was on vacation too. The master bedroom is huge and the bathroom is cavernous. It felt like the bathrooms at the amazing beach houses we've stayed at on HHI. I kept telling Matt it felt like we are on HHI to me. :) ENJOY!
